For Sister's birthday.
Finished: Late summer '06.
Yarn: Unknown mohair/nylon blend gifted from Tine.
Needles: Crystal Palace Daisy, um.. US 10, I think.
Pattern: Branching Out from Knitty.
The yarn was held double for warmth and squishiness. In spite of my wonky first-time blocking, the scarf turned out wonderful.
Gratuitous kitty picture. As soon as I finished the rather shoddy blocking job on top of an extra duvet cover, Tut here jumped on the bed, ready to shed. I almost grabbed him, but then remembered what would happen if he managed to stick his claws into the fabric first. Start over, no thanks. Then Tut sniffed the scarf in a friendly-yet-uninterested way, laid down next to it, and fell asleep. Thank you, universe!
This sucker was long! About two meters.
And yes, I got all the needles out before going to bed. Thank you for asking. I really should get some proper blocking needles, preferably with colorful heads. And a blocking board. And world peace.
